Every year, during the year, your car requires routine maintenance. Here are some things that you should always check out. Check your brakes because you do not want to be stuck without brakes. This could cause a collision which would be terrible for you, you car and the other person involved. Also check air pressure on all tires, including the spare, as improper tire pressure leads to premature wear and a decrease in fuel mileage. If there is no tread on your tires, then it is a good indication that you need maintenance done on them. A very important thing that you need to check are your headlamps, turn signals, taillights and hazard lights. Properly functioning headlamps and tail lamps play an important role in safe driving, especially at nighttime, or in rainy or foggy conditions. Also check airflow because poor air flow within the engine hinders performance and can lead to greater fuel consumption. We all need to save fuel when the price of a gallon of gasoline increases each week. Engine oil level should be checked often, with the oil being changed and replenished regularly. Belts and hoses under the hood play an important part in the proper function and performance of the engine. Prevent breakdowns or serious engine damage by replacing belts and hoses at recommended intervals. There are many other things to check on your car, but these are among the most important things too check to keep your car running like a well oiled machine. Find Salt Lake City Oil Change Specials Today!
One of the easiest, and most important, steps to maintaining your vehicle is to get regular oil changes. How often oil should be changed is up for debate. The best resource is to check your owner’s manual. Ultimately the frequency of your oil changes will come down to your specific vehicle and driving habits. Going to a dealership for the oil change has many benefits., as they typically inspect other areas of your vehicle as well such as air pressure in the tires, washer fluid, coolant condition, grease joints, etc. If you are particularly busy the only time you ever have these parts of your vehicle monitored is during an oil change. So, maybe more frequent changes help you to make sure your vehicle is in overall good condition.

If you are preparing to sell or trade in your vehicle, there are a few steps to take to get the optimal value for it. While some owners may choose pay for a professional detailing, some choose to do the cleaning themselves. You must thoroughly clean the exterior and the interior. Follow these steps for best results:
The first step is to get all your personal items out of the car. You want the prospective buyer to picture the car as his or her own. Next vacuum the interior. Remember to vacuum the front and rear seats, get in all the cracks and cupholders, and also clean the trunk. After the vacuuming is done, wipe down all hard surfaces in the interior. Be especially sure to clean all those things around the driver seat that the buyer will see. Once the cabin is as clean as you can get it, it is time to move to the outside of the vehicle.
Your local car wash is a great place to start. Use the foaming brush to scrub off dirt and make absolutely sure to use a spot-free rinse so there are no drying marks left on the paint. Most modern cars have plastic covers over the engine. These surfaces gather grease and road dirt and can look pretty nasty. You can use a spray detailer or any cleaner. This is a good time to check the fluids too, such as oil and coolant levels. Tire black or tire shine is sold by many car care companies. Cleaning off the brake dust and putting some kind of treatment on the tires will sharpen up the look of your car more than anything else you can do.
